&lt;p&gt;8 ounces spaghetti&lt;br/&gt;1/2 cup pesto&lt;br/&gt;8 ounces spinach&lt;br/&gt;2 cups edamame (shelled and shucked, the peas, not entire pods)&lt;br/&gt;juice from 2 lemons (plus fresh lemon wedges for serving)&lt;br/&gt;3/4 cup almonds, crushed and lightly toasted&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Heat a large pot of water to boiling, cook pasta until al dente. Remove from water, strain and rinse with cold water. In a large bowl, stir pasta, pesto and spinach until combined (some spinach will wilt, some will stay firm — this is a nice contrast of textures). Finally, stir in the edamame and squirt the lemon all over the finished dish. Reserve a few lemon slices for people to add more if they like. On a low heat, toast crushed almonds until just fragrant. Garnish pasta with the toasted almonds.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Meaning the ancient Greeks only ate one meal a day. Most likely a smaller “meal/snack” that consisted of oatmeal or porridge or something like that in the morning before work. They would work all day. AND THEN THEY WOULD EAT A HUGE MASSIVE FEAST. Then they would go to sleep.. because uhhh what else was there to do? LOL. And repeat. Protein takes a really long time to digest and get absorbed. SO yeah, that would make sense.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It’s actually easier to sleep on a full stomach (for some people). The reason we even get sleepy after a big meal is because blood, oxygen, and all of our resources go towards digestion. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Obviously IDK to what extent this is true about ancient civilizations. I doubt they ate 6 times a day. They would wake up, and off to the farm they went to work (or work for someone else) and wouldn’t come back until evening.&lt;/p&gt;
